About the Event
When your body experiences an injury or trauma, it compensates by reorganizing movement patterns in order to avoid triggering pain. Over time, this can lead to joint rigidity and/or hypermobility, which is often accompanied with chronic pain.
This method of yoga aims at restoring healthy joint mobility in a safe and gentle way, while also enhancing body awareness and perception. From an Ayurvedic perspective, this practice balances vata, which aids in stress management and rejuvenates the nervous system. You will find improved circulation, vitality, enhanced mobility, and freedom from pain.
For this class series, you will need:
- a yoga mat
- wall space
- 1-2 bolsters, and/or folded blankets or firm pillows
- a yoga strap or belt
- 1-2 yoga blocks (or stacks of books)
