Kaiut Yoga is a therapeutic yoga method designed to improve mobility, joint health, and overall well-being. Created by Brazilian chiropractor Francisco Kaiut, this practice focuses on addressing the effects of modern lifestyles, such as prolonged sitting, repetitive movements, and stress, which often lead to stiffness and discomfort in the body.
The method emphasizes functional biomechanics, joint mobility, and postures held for long durations, allowing for deep release and realignment. Rather than focusing on flexibility or athleticism, postures are modified to prioritize comfort and ease over aesthetic perfection. This practice targets the health of joints and connective tissues, promoting longevity and pain-free movement. By encouraging mindfulness and presence during practice, Kaiut Yoga reduces mental stress and enhances emotional balance.
Kaiut Yoga is accessible to people of all ages and abilities, including those recovering from injuries or managing chronic conditions. Sessions are customized to accommodate physical limitations, making it ideal for both beginners and seasoned practitioners seeking a restorative, sustainable practice.
Drop-ins to individual classes (space permitting) are $30 ($25 if you are registered in another class series at Two Hearts).
